Cindy the home owner is looking to hire a plumber to replace a their tank-less water heater because their old one isn’t working properly. Cindy comes across Joe Plumbing and calls him out for an estimate. She thinks his price is fair, but decides to get a second estimate because that is what most homeowners do. She comes across Jeff Plumbing and calls him for an estimate also. Cindy is torn between the two contractors because their estimates are practically identical and they both appear to be good options.
Cindy needs to make a decision. While she is contemplating which contractor to call back, she remembered Joe’s Plumbing had nice vehicle lettering and graphics on his van when he pulled up. He also left her with a nice business card and estimate sheet that all matched with his vehicle graphics and overall brand. She also remembered that Jeff did have something on his door that looked like magnets, thin business cards with a logo she had seen before, along with a generic invoice sheet from the store.
Cindy can’t help but be blown away by the appearance and presentation of Joe’s Plumbing. While Jeff’s Plumbing and Joe’s Plumbing might have the same skill set, experience, price and certifications, Joe Plumbing had a better presentation that eventually won over the home owner. While installing the tank-less water heater, Joe learned that they were replacing the water heater to sell their current home before building their dream home. Cindy was so happy with the work she was comfortable hiring them once they broke ground on the their new home.
